►Control Valves | Temperature Control Valve (Page 2)

Technical Data
Pressures stated in bar (gauge). The permissible pressures and differential pressures specified are limited by the Pressure Temperature Diagram and the nominal pressure ratings acc. to DIN 2401.

Permissible temperature of the Valve See Pressure-Temperature Diagram
Type 2231, 2241 Control Thermostat size 15 - 150
Set point range -10 ...+90 °C, 20... 120 °C, 50... 150 °C
Permissible ambient temperature at the set point adjustment cylinder -40 to + 80 °C
Permissible excess temperature at the sensor 75 °C above the actual set point
Permissible pressure at the sensor PN 40
Length of capillary tube 3m (special version: 5, 10 or 15m)
= The differential pressure refers to the pressure upstream of the valve with steam and the pressure head of the pump with water.

Flow Diagram of Water
The values shown are valid for a fully-opened control valve.

Control valve sizing for other media according to DIN/IEC 534, parts 2-1 and
2-2, with following terms:
FL = 0.95 and XT = 0.75

Accessories
If the operating conditions affect the reliability of the operating element, an extension piece and I or a distance piece is mounted between the control valve and the operating element.

The extension piece is needed for temperature above 150 °C or 220 °C respectively (See Pressure-Temperature Diagram).

The distance piece is needed for operating pressure above 16 bar. Furthermore there is provided a thermo well to prevent corrosion resulted from direct contact between the sensor and fluid and also easy installation of thermostat.
